I've had a lot of mommies, with younger children, leaving comments and sending messages to me lately. It's mostly been about tips on being an "active" mom while having Sjogren's. When I say "active" I don't mean exercise, I mean being a part of our children's lives like "normal" moms and actively trying to not let Sjogren's get in the way.
Fortunately for me I was a day care/preschool teacher in my previous life ie, before having my girl, becoming a stay at home mom, and being diagnosed with Sjogren's Syndrome. So I was lucky enough to have many many activities, logged in the back of my brain, to do with L when she needed to be busy and I needed to be stationary due to lack of energy.
Don't get me wrong there were still moments when I was floundering, stuck on the couch, while my daughter ran around the house like a monster from Where the Wild Things Are. But my previous experiences in child care certainly helped me out many many many times. So I thought.... "Why not create a blog for moms with chronic illnesses and their kiddos?" I've been doing these activities for the last five years with my daughter. Why not share the ideas with others? I'd probably only blog an idea once or twice a week. However, I think it could still be a great "support system" to a mom with a toddler, who has no rest in their bones, when all the mom wants to do [is] rest. I would probably call it something cute like Busy Babies & Resting Mommies, or something like that.
What are your thoughts on this idea?????

I say go for it. You have so much to offer any mom, not just those struggling with living life with an illness. I could see your ideas helping moms that have just had a baby and have a toddler or preschooler, etc. God's got big plans for YOU!
Thanks Stacie! :o)
Sign me up! N is 10 months old, and I so want to be an exceptonal parent to her.
